Starting from 2024, the rules for investor KITAS and KITAP visas in Indonesia will change. The minimum capital share in a company for foreign investors must now be 10 billion IDR (approximately 640,000 USD).
By December 31, 2024, holders of active investment visas must increase their investments to comply with the new requirements.
If this condition is not met, investors will have to:
- Either apply for a work visa with a monthly fee of $100;
- Or reconsider their stay status.
These changes are aimed at attracting large investors and developing Indonesia’s economy.
